Traditional Braided Handle
This handle resembles the traditional braid. The "braid" is woven with a cane instead of a reed. The most popular type of braided handle.
|
Wrapped Handle
The wrapped Handle is done on all sorts of baskets. The 1/4" reed or cane is wrapped continuously around the handle. This adds a nice touch to the simplest of baskets.

Wrapped Handle with Color Accent
The wrapped Handle is done on all sorts of baskets. The 1/4" reed or cane is wrapped continuously around the handle while leaving an accent color showing every few wrapps. This adds a nice touch to the simplest of baskets.

Braided Handle - Twist
This handle uses a 1/4" reed or smaller on a wooden handle. Each time the reed is on top of the handle, it is twisted. Very unique style and beautiful.

Braided Handle - Spaced
This type of handle uses a round reed on either side of the wooden handle. The 1/4" reed or smaller is wrapped not only around the handle but also around the wooden handle. Another unique basket handle technique.
|
Wrapped Handle X'd
The Wrapped Handle X'd is wrapped with a 1/4" reed and then woven back over the wrapped handle with a smaller reed in the pattern of x's. This can be done with either a color reed and natural or all natural. It adds a nice touch to the handle.

X-Sturdy Cut Out Handle
This handle is a cut out handle. The reason why it is x-sturdy is because it is finished with flat-oval reed and lashed. I love to use these handles on anything that will be lifting things such as files, magazines, etc.
|
Simple Cut Out Handle
There is no extra charge for this type of handle. It is great when you need a handle but you want it "build-in". It is "simple" because it isn't finished off with flat round reed and lashed as the one above.
